The Contingency got nerfed pretty hard in 1.8.2 since they lost their Arc Emitters for Tachyon Lances. My fleet strength was about 60% of the unbidden fleets and won at around 130% efficiency to the unbidden 70%. Cruiser / battleship mix of 6:4. I used cruisers with 3 x T5 missles ( x.25 hull damage ) and the remaining slots are t3 disruptors.The Unbidden are the fastest and sneakiest Crisis. Set up chokepoints and slow the Unbidden. The wider their geometric web gets, the more fleets they will launch against you, leading to even more dimensional anchors. They have jump drive and will sometimes actually use it, so be prepared with a mobile reaction force.Anyway changing those random values resulted in unbidden spawning somewhere else. I think the roll for location is made around the same time as the first event trigger.
